High Desert Crime Tracker provides a rare opportunity on the internet to engage with a hyper-targeted local audience in the Morongo Basin through low-cost digital advertising.
High Desert Crime Tracker was developed and is operated by a team based in Yucca Valley. It launched at the end of 2023, and has been growing steadily ever since.
Of these visits, 85% are confirmed local traffic — people living in or visiting our High Desert community who have shared their device location when accessing HDCT to monitor local police and fire incidents. These are people who are active in the area, eating locally, shopping locally, maintaining their home, looking at local real estate, and more.
According to our metrics, each one of these local visitors comes back to the HDCT app an average of ten times per month. On each visit they reload the feed between five and ten times, and we expect that number to continue to increase as we grow and more people become aware of the app and its usefulness to the community.
These people are our neighbors, and your potential customers, coming back to the same place multiple times in a month to scroll through updated police and fire incidents. And now, your local business can be highlighted in that feed.
Since HDCT is mainly a mobile web app, over 95% of its viewers are on their mobile device. Because of this, your clickable ad can be configured to send the viewer directly to your website, or to use their device to automatically dial your business phone number when they touch the ad.
All advertising views and clicks will be tracked, so upon request, you can receive a report on how your ad is performing on the app.
Because we are still growing, High Desert Crime Tracker will be offering low cost advertising to select local businesses for a six-month trial basis while we ramp up this functionality. It's a great, inexpensive opportunity to get in early and grow with us!
